 Paipa is a Boyacá population, tourist par excellence, famous for the goodness of
its climate and the beauty of its landscapes, for its tranquility and location is perfectfor rest and recreation, as well as for the realization of congresses and seminars.


Tourist sites:

  • Thermal sources of the Aquatic Park and Therapeutic Center: Paipa hot springs are one of the main attractions of the city. In addition to being a source of entertainment, they provide major health benefits.
Frequently people will only bathe in the pools, but a space for relaxation like thatalso can enjoy some activities in the therapeutic Center there.

There are activities for large and small, so they spend a very happy day and family,enjoying all the activities that this wonderful place offers to its visitors.


  •  Lake Sochagota: practice and skiing championships, walks, romantic, water cycling and for fishing lovers.
  • Acoustic Shell: located outdoors where the National Musical Bands contest and other sporting, civic and cultural events are held.
  • Cathedral: The main church has valuable works of art of colonial style and is one of the most beautiful temples of its kind.
  • Route Rancheria-Chorro Blanco: Nature Reserve, there are several trails that cross it given its extension. One of the richest routes is the ascent following the channel of the Chorro Blanco stream, with its beautiful waterfall 10 meters high.
  • Páramo-Cerro de la Muela Route: there you can observe numerous groups of oak groves and the native flora and fauna. From the top of the hill you can see the mountain chain that separates Boyacá from Santander.
  • Estate the saltpeter: It is a grandiose colonial house, jewel of the architecture of the seventeenth century, has a beautiful chapel, bullring and picturesque balconies.
  •  Monument to the Marsh of Vargas: There was the battle of July 25, 1819, decisive shovel independence. A Memorial was erected, work of the sculptor Rodrigo Arenas Betancour.












Typical food

The food is delicious, always a tourist visit this city you can not miss its delicious
almojabanas, but if you prefer something more you can also find these nice meals
such as: cuchuco of wheat, cassava bread, casserole paipana, tamales, rice
mazato.
